Princeton protesters: Why we need safe spaces; why honoring Woodrow Wilson is spitting in our faces

"An Open Letter On Free Speech, Our Demands, and Civil Disruption

We write this in response to campus and nationwide discussions that have emerged from our nonviolent sit-in at Princeton University President Christopher Eisgruber’s office on November 18, 2015. This demonstration was a culmination of efforts over the past year by the Black Justice League to induce action to correct institutional failings in creating a safe, inclusive campus for black students." …

I don’t know why we keep posting this. Everyone on CC is likely to arrive at the same conclusion.

If Princeton is so awful, why did these students enrol? And why should you have a ‘safe space’ at university? What are you going to do when you graduate? As for the Woodrow Wilson School, something like 90% of its graduate students are on full fellowships. Did these protesting students take the school’s money? Nonsense.

Such PC nonsense, coddling these kids with “safe spaces”, and trying to purge history in the worst traditions of the old Soviet Union. These kids need to grow up. I am absolutely confident that most Princeton students are embarrassed by this. It’s the kind silly protest one would expect at a 3rd rate State college where deep reasoning skills are hard to come by. Not at a place like Princeton.

Didn’t we already beat this horse to death?
