Princeton RD 2020 thread

I think the checklist was only still available for FA documents.

@Puchku i have the same

@Puchku I applied EA and was deferred and that happened around a week or two before decisions were sent out. From this point on you won’t be able to see the checklist again so hopefully everyone’s portal says your application is complete.

@TheWaffleMan149 where is the link you say, I don’t have it. Maybe it is a good sign for you. Sorry I saw it! It is before you log in and says not available

What time are Ivies decisions typically released? around 5?

@sweetcottoncandy Yeah, so I have come to hear from various sources. Around 5 pm EST on Ivy day

Now for my daily rambling.
I got waitlisted by UChicago…LIke seriously, even more waiting!!! I hope I get accepted in Princeton though…it is one of my top choices…but being waitlisted by UChicago, and getting rejected by MIT and Caltech, not to mention, being deferred by Harvard is a serious blow to my hopes… But I guess I will manage.
Like I love to say, these applications to various universities are my horcruxes…MIT and Caltech destroyed two, Harvard and UChicago are still wondering about how to destroy it, and would it be good to not destroy it.
Let’s hope, in the end, at least one horcrux survives to let my soul remain! xD

@blazedragon thanks for the reply, and I got waitlisted by UChicago too! I feel you there [-O<

I got outright rejected by UPenn in ED, thankfully accepted by UMich in EA, but I still have 9 more decisions coming… hopefully good news arrives for me and for everyone else :)>-

@sweetcottoncandy I have got 8 decisions yet to come, hopefully, things work out for me and you. xD I have applied to UMich too but under regular decision. (My application almost got rejected there due to incomplete materials due to a hella big miscommunication, but it was sorted out in time and UMich is somewhere I expect to go if I don’t get into the Ivies…oh wait, I am assuming UMich would admit me, well, nothing wrong with being hopeful! )
Anyway, best of luck to you and everyone else, and I sincerely apologise for those who have to read my ramblings. xD

And with the apology done, I will love to put another little ramble, because I am still in post-decisions trauma of UChicago  :stuck_out_tongue:
I really hate the fact that I am an international applicant. Decisions are released when it is around 3 to 5 am in the morning here! I mean, neither can I sleep at night, nor can I necessarily check it then. :frowning:

@blazedragon omg, I’m an international applicant too! the decisions for UChicago came out at 4AM here, and I can’t believe that I stayed awake waiting while studying for mocks only to see the “waitlist”… Best of luck for you for UMich and all your other decisions ^:)^

@sweetcottoncandy Wow that’s so cool! Didn’t expect you to be an international applicant too! xD That’s awesome! I am from India, and you?
And yeah, actually, I should be studying now, for the entrance exams for Indian colleges, (the IITJEE exam) and also for my finals…I better get back to that

@blazedragon I’m living in Indonesia (which seems like a rare place to be from here on CC haahha cuz)

Anyways, best of luck to everyone else, and hope good news will arrive in our emails/app portals in the next 2 weeks :-*

@sweetcottoncandy Wow, Indonesia! That’s really nice! And it’s true, I hadn’t heard of any Indonesian applicants until now, but it’s good to know that there are amazing applicants from there too.

And yeah, hoping for the best for everyone!

(Yeah, I am replying two hours late, because I said I needed to “study”. Needless to say, most of the time, I was just blankly staring at my books while mentally calculating my chances based on random assumptions   )

Rejected from Cornell ED… Likely from Columbia… I don’t get it :))

Basically, it’s important to know that this process is completely random. No matter what happens, we’ll be alright at the school we’re meant to be at. These next two weeks are going to go by really slowly but we’ve already made it this far. We all deserve a spot, and if they could take all of us I’m sure they would!

Today the notification on the portal states:

Checklist information is no longer available. Decisions will be available on March 31. An email notification with instructions on accessing your decision online will be sent prior to that date.

@Puchku same thing shows on mine! I don’t expect to get in, but I am very curious to see!

Did anyone else get a missing PFAA email? Apparently this has meant a good sign the last few years, but I don’t want to get my hopes up too soon.

@ccstudent101 : did you get one today? A couple of people got theirs in late February so people weren’t sure if it meant anything or not. Maybe it does maybe it doesn’t. I guess everyone will find out March 31st! Also, for those who got the PFAA email, it would be great to post your results so people can see if there’s a correlation.

I got one too! Hey I’m definetly new here but my stats are under the cornell 2020 page I was accepted

I got one today. My stats are on my chance me profile

Sorry I was completely out of the loop regarding the PFAA email thing in Feb, but for those of you who received the email today, did you actually do the PFAA but then still somehow got the email?
