A light and humorous read for easing of the nerves. Those who were rejected from Stanford might find this especially
amusing.

@APersonsHistory Stanford was 3.6%. You have to take an account into the actual number of people accepted not the class size to find the acceptance rate. Harvard/Princeton should be well above 5 percent to be honest.

My daughter is getting anxious!
Accepted: UCLA, UC Berkeley, Santa Clara, Whitworth, Pepperdine, Lewis & Clarke, Saint Mary’s
No rejections
No waitlists
Pending - Princeton and Columbia
@CoramDeo7 Saw the NYtimes article too! It’s quite good
The sarcastic sentence she’ll thrive at Yale made my day
This is hilarious, especially for a Dad whose D just got accepted into Stanford.
@CoramDeo7 I love Frank Bruni’s writing style and I happen to be a Stanford reject, so that made me laugh. Thanks for sharing! :))
How will you guys check your decision on Ivy Day? I might open them up in alphabetical order.
@Californian10 I guess in descending order of likelihood to get admitted (imo).
@Californian10 I will stare at the email notifications and mentally ask them, “Okay, so which one of you want to punch me in the face first?” And whoever I think responds first will be opened first, followed by the others…
Yes, I think this wait is driving me crazy, unless talking to emails is normal. :)) :))
Sooo…when do I stab myself in the eye? 4:58 PM tomorrow? After decisions?
@schroscat - I say wait until right after decisions, so you can read the letters. Otherwise, you might need to wait even longer.
@Anonymoose3 Hmmm…good point.
I just pray to God I’m not waitlisted.
Why did I even apply to Ivies I mean I love the schools i chose to apply to but my chances are abysmal
@Vanskelig - If I’m deferred -> waitlisted I will cry. Probably rejected anyway, though.
@Anonymous3 didn’t you already get into Stanford?
@Anonymoose3 Princeton doesn’t often waitlist deferrees… although I think your chances are better than most. Personally, I think you have a great shot at admission.
Plus, you already got into Stanford, Columbia, and MIT, so I wouldn’t worry too much. You’ve got a list of wonderful schools!
Tomorrow is the day to finally see whether or not the missing pfaa email has correlation with acceptance/wait-list.
