Accepted from near San Diego, Ca. Have they mentioned when Open House visits with overnight stays, etc. will be available during April? Need to book airlines, hotels, etc. So excited!
Hey there, I also got accepted. I’m near Atlanta Georgia. Preview Day will be April 9-10 and 15-16 (I think). I don’t think you need a hotel room, pretty sure you get to stay overnight on campus.
@Ciompi15 that is correct, you will stay on campus, but parents will need a hotel (if they live out of the general area).
Does anyone know when parents weekend is in he fall?
Accepted !!
Does anyone know if there is a Princeton 2023 groupme?
How sure is the April 9-10 dates for booking travel plans?
Just answered my own question. Read in The Princetonian that Princeton Preview will take place on April 9-10 and April 15-16.
Is there a student or Facebook page for students or parents for the class of 2023?
Didn’t get into P. But, I am sure there is. Every school that DD got into, except CMU School of Computer Science, has a FB page for the class of 2023.
Family weekend is 10/11-12, Friday-Saturday. Can’t relocate that link now but I confirmed it. It was 10/12-13 Fri-Sat last year.
Subtracting out this year’s SCEA data (5335 apps, 743 admits), the RD admit rate is 4.2% (!). DS admitted, he’s over the moon. He’ll be there 4/15-16!
There is an official FB page, look for “Official Princeton Class of 2023”. Tried to post link but post was flagged for moderation.
MODERATOR’S NOTE:
Yup. Such links are not allowed as noted in ToS.
I have a question regarding exchange programs that are Offered by Princeton.
I have heard that there’s a Rutgers-Princeton Exchange Program thats been going on since '64, and a student from either school can just participate in it by filling the form for a semester (idk if this is one semester a year or for 2 or for 4), and earning credits for courses taken, as well as obtaining a transcript.
Does anyone have any specifics on this? Any rules, catches, eligibility criteria? I was just wondering.
My son (BSE '16) took a course at Rutgers that wasn’t offered at Princeton. He and another classmate drove to attend once a week and it seemed to go well. My son said it was easier than most of the courses he had taken at Princeton.
Thanks for the share. I think thats a given on the overall level, but then again… it depends on course and more importantly, person
Okay… so by this im gathering its a flexible commute and attendance sort of situation.
THanks again.
