I thought they can't, but anyway I have already sent recs for regular one so I cant change it

LAgal, I suppose you're right. I'll give it my best, but I'm just not getting my hopes up.

Zante, i completely agree. . .I love the Princeton App. I was going to do the common app until I saw p-town's app. . .i think they'd get a better picture of me with it. Even the teacher rec and counselor forms are more comprehensive.

Oh crap I applied thru Common App, but their supplement's pretty comprehensive... only 250 words for the essays :(

Im applying RD using the common app and supplement!!!!! I agree with sucharita; I think it is still comprehensive.

I think it's pretty much the same thing; I just never liked the Common App format.

they r the same

anyone else?

ritzbitz: not quite. the princeton one (esp. the written one) is slightly different

Aren't the teacher recs and counselor recs slightly different?

man, when are things going to pick up again around here?...guess I'll check in @ 11 or 12....ciao!

EDIT: yeah, that was definitely the wrong board....meant to use the ED one.

I'll be applying to Princeton RD. It's my second choice behind Yale where I applied EA.

seems like there are a lot of cross-overs between yale and princeton

yale and princeton are very similar schools. my interviewer was like so why pton not yale and he was basically like "oh well yale and pton are VERY VERY similar schools" its very difficult to decide between the two. for me, it was visiting. that made the difference

I guess, in terms of caliber, but I think they're different. Socially they give off different vibes. Location-wise it's urban vs. suburban (dangerous vs. super safe). And then Yale has all those grad schools.

wait- how is the app different from the supplement?

It was hard for me to distinguish between Princeton and Yale at first (especially in terms of likes and dislikes), but they're starting to seem pretty different. Yeah, the Princeton and Yale social scenes definitely seem to give off different vibes, as do the academic focus and curriculum.

How would u describe the princeton and yale vibes. i have visited princeton but not yale.

Okay, even I am applying RD.I just cudnt finish so many essays on time.Applied EA to Harvard

akash...fellow indian?

can someone elaborate on the yale/princeton relationship?

lol it's definitely like, a fun rivalry. I think we like each other a lot more than do Yale/Harvard.
