fellow Indian speaking! u guys are scaring me...lol...j/k...
about the whole princeton ed v harvard ea...it's pretty weird...i just went to a program at swarthmore where all indians were applying ed princeton

Hi. I'm from Vietnam. I like Pton a lot - of course, my love for Pton can't compare to that of EDers here ;). I wanted to apply ED but I thought I couldn't compete with those outstanding guys.
I don't think I can get in, Pton is really a big reach but I guess I will just give a try. You never know what you're gonna get, right? Anyone here feel the same?

i am international too and LOVE Pton...only reason i dint apply ED was cause of fin aid..

Princeton gives the best financial aid in the nation to both domestic and international applicants.

i know..but wats the guarentee that i ll have my actual need met in the ED round...

I'm applying RD!! Princeton is definitely my first choice, but my chances are sketchy! My second and third choices are UPenn and Stanford (hahaha... obviously all reaches) and I'll be applying to some state schools and "lower-tiered schools." Congrats to everyone that was accepted early!!! You must all be incredibly excited.

goes off to finished Princeton essays :)

Hey I'm applying RD too...
I applied to Brown's PLME ED but was deferred, which is just as well because I'm really beginning to like Princeton more and more...I loved the campus when I visited, and a few of my friends go there and they all say its wonderful...

can't wait until April!

Princeton RD-er here.

Does anyone have any good photo albums of Princeton (perhaps that they took from visiting or something like that)? Thanks.

why wouldn't you, dreamin'? From the looks of it, Princeton definitely doesn't discriminate against EDers in terms of financial aid. I haven't talked to everyone, obviously, but from those whom I have talked to...yeah :) Good luck in RD! I want to see you guys next year!

I'm applying RD :)

I applied to (and got deferred from) Yale SCEA.

Lindsey: Sorry about Yale. S is sitting with me and looking at your profile he was surprised too. he has applied to pr too.

Thanks, Simba. I spent Wednesday and part of Thursday feeling pretty bummed out, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to be happy wherever I end up. I'm just eager to find out where that's going to be.

Oh don't be too hard on yourself. Aceptance in HYPSM is basically a winning a lottery. That is the disadvantage of EA/ED....you may find out soon, but if the decision is other way the mouring period lasts for 4 months.

Honestly, you have very good profile. You should be proud of yourself. Hey it is Yale's loss.

Not long ago there was a thread in parents forum about the kids who were rejected last year and had to go to the school next on their list. All of them are going to very fine schools and on a scale of 1-10 for happiness, they ranked themselves at 9.5+.

I am applying princeton RD and I can't remember what forms for the teacher/councler recomendations I gave.... If I use the common app + princeton supplement do I use the common app teacher recs? Or do I still do the princeton ones.... and if I gave my teachers the princeton ones does that mean I have to use the princeton application (not the common application). Haha, I guess I screwed up because school is out until after the deadline and I waited until last minute... awesome. Well does anybody know the answers anyway?

Lindsey, I've read your posts over on the Yale board, and while I do hope that you get into your first love, I can't help hoping that maybe Princeton will snatch you up if things don't work out. You seem like a pretty cool, down-to-earth person. Good luck wherever you end up! :)

hello--

I'm applying RD, mostly because ilcapo made me at the very, very last minute. But I really do like Princeton and I loved their application, and I hope the RD'ers have the best of luck (including deferred ED'ers)

Thanx philntex! Good luck to you to and all the Rd'ers and deferred Ed'er! Everyone on the CC board has been so helpful and I hope to see some of you next year!

Thank you very much, philintex, for those very kind words. I look forward to getting to know you and the other Princeton applicants and acceptees in the upcoming months. Who knows what will happen in the end?

hey, I'm applying Princeton RD as well.
