Oops...broken link, sorry guys

Yeah seriously....whenever I hear about him on the news, the only thing they say is that he has a 2400, but they never mention anything else he does.

that link didn't work for me, here is the one that did

hopeful89, that's a different article you're posting.

This dudes just tryin to get some $$$!

I know, and he got into Yale anyway, so what's the point of holding a grudge?
I'm sure plenty of people with 2400s get rejected from all of those good schools....

They do, and he should just face the fact

I think he made it pretty clear in a previous article that he wasn't holding a grudge...but defending an ideal that he believes in

It doesn't come off right though, does it?
Especially since he's at Yale.
And what's the point of suing for, I don't get it?

I guess it depends how people interpret his motivations...

He claims to be doing it for fellow asians in the future...which I think is a noble one. But if he is doing it out of a grudge, then ...it must be a pretty big grudge =/ I'm guessing that this case is going to cost him quite a bit of money?

Yeah but what will he obtain from suing them?
Money and a good future for Asians?
You can't guarantee a good future for Asians.
So that leaves money...
lol

Oh well.
I don't even care actually.
Just saying =)

haha considering that he is paying for college at YALE right now, and he still has money to file a lawsuit, money probably isn't an issue for him..

maybe I'm still naive, but I think he is doing it for his race =p

He and some other researcher say that getting rid of race-based admissions would increase asians' chances of getting in, but the same could undoubtedly be said for whites...if he can argue that that was b/c he was asian I bet there are a lot of white people who could say the same thing.

I don't really think people should criticize Jian's actions by assuming that he is arrogant and believed that he should have gotten into Princeton.
Jian actually went to my high school, and was a really nice person. He had lots of state-level awards and honors, and was also involved with stuff like the science, math, and physics team. His stats may not be of IMO/International fame caliber, but he was still a fine applicant. While a lot of people may not agree with his views or opinions, they really shouldn't make unsupported judgments of his character or personality.

Livingston HS ? =O
