Princeton Review for Math-II?

Hello!

I own Barrons Math-II book and just borrowed TPR Math-I&II from a local library.

Should I just stick with Barron's SAT Math-II prep book or is TPR better than Barrons?

Well for me am going to buy an Princeton Review Math book partially because I like the style of Princeton Rewiew. My evidence comes from my studying of the PSAT this October. Princeton Rewiew writes there book extremely lucid which is helpful as well.

ew nononononononono don’t get PR for math2.

Get PR and I guarantee you will have a difficult time getting 800. Maybe it’ll help you get, say a 700, but not 800.

I bought the barron’s book and borrowed the PR from the public library. Barron’s had a load more material and was more convoluted, but I actually LEARNED something from Barron’s. PR? LOL it didn’t even mention double angle identites at all in the book. That said Barron’s also has more practice tests.

TL;DR: GET BARRON’S

I used PR for both math 1 and math 2. It was great for math 1 but not enough for math 2.

I don’t know about PR, but I HATED barron. Like kyrix said, it’s extremely convoluted and you really won’t learn anything from Barron because the review part was so-so and the practice tests were WTH IS THIS?

Not to mention it’s way way way too hard to be ‘just precalc’

Like Kyrix1 said, if you’re shooting for an 800, definitely use Barron’s. But if you’re shooting in the 700s, then you can use PR. I’m using Barron’s right now to study, and while I agree that it’s convoluted and much more difficult than the CB tests (I also have the blue book), it’s really helping me learn what I need to (and then some) and prepare for the real thing. Better to be overprepared than under.

Yeah, I agree with what people have said about Barron’s.

kimmylouie, very little of the test is precalc. It’s almost all algebra. You just need an advanced knowledge of how to apply it.
