Has anyone gone through the college match up test on www.princetonreview.com (you need to register with them first). Is it accurate?

I thought it was pretty accurate; a lot of the colleges I was already considering were on the list.

No. It is not accurate. It's a waste of time. I find the stereotypes of the schools ("What Students Say?") fairly accurate about the campus feel, though.

I wouldnt say that the test is completely useless because, while it isn't accurate as fair as rating it a safety, match or reach, it does generally show you schools that you will like and be interested in, except when it put one of the sponsored univerities at a 100% to all of your criteria.

I preferred the college chances calculator at collegedata.com. It's less comprehensive than PR's, though.

Comparing my results to my college list:
Duke- reach and ok fit (attending and love it)
Johns Hopkins- reach and ok fit (accepted with partial scholarship)
U Chicago- match and ok fit (accepted with partial scholarship)
Davidson- match and good fit (accepted)
Wake Forest- match and ok fit (accepted with mega scholarship)
UNC Chapel Hill- match and ok fit (accepted with half scholarship)

Yeah, I'd say it's a bit off. Especially since the only good fit I had was Davidson, which was the school on my list I liked least...

Would you please share your GPA/score/etc? To what do you mostly attribute your great acceptance rate?

Also, were you a NC resident?
