princeton review math 1 and 2 book

i have this pr book which is for both math level tests. do you guys know if this is a good book?

It's good for review and for the four practice tests, but it will probably be insufficient if you're actually teaching yourself a lot of new content.

I also hate the strategies that Princeton Review suggests. For example, if you were asked to find the inverse of f(x), they would suggest plugging in a random number, say 5, into f(x). Suppose f(5) = 9. Then they suggest going through every single answer choice, plugging in 9 until you get 5 back again. I think this is a ridiculous waste of time. They should instead just show you how to find the inverse function the real way with algebra. It's more reliable, it's easier in my opinion, and it's faster.

I realize I sound fairly negative, but really it's a good book. Like I said, it's excellent for getting a review of the material that will be on the test.

sorry to be stealing your thread but...

does the PR book cover everything i would need to know?

i read it in and took the 2 math 2 tests in two days and i scored 780 and 800. however, i'm always short on time...i never finish all the questions. are there any tips as to how to work faster?

thanks
