Princeton Review or Kaplan or . . . .?

  • Is it best to use a test-prep course or just books?
  • Which books are best for SAT now besides the official guide from College Board?
  • Many of the strategies for SAT prep seem defunct because of the new SAT. Does anyone want to comment on their experience (as limited as it may be)?

I thought the practice through Khan Academy was great. I just took the SAT in May and the questions were just as the ones provided through khan. It provides a lot of personalized help when it finds a weak subject in a timed section or practice test you take. Also, each subject gives you a scale rating from level 1-4 which gives you an accurate estimate of your weakness and strengths. I think this is better than any prep through a book since it is so simple with automatic grading and timing. At this point in time when the new format is so new, this will be your best option since the collegeboard is working with khan. Don’t waste your money on any books from other companies that think they know what material will be on the test.

@okruth this is great to know. Thank you!!
