Princeton Review/Other review materials

Hey, so I took the September ACT and got a 33 but I’m looking to improve that in the April one coming up to a 34 of 35. I got the Princeton Review 1,296 questions and after studying a ton of guide material I got a 28 on English and 30 on Math. I haven’t finished the Reading and Science yet but I think the trend will be the same. So, evidently Princeton Review is much more difficult. Do you think it is good to study more difficult tests so the real one feels like a breeze or is that not really a thing? And also, if it’s better to study similar difficulty books, which books/brands do you recommend,

Well I will tell you what I did… I started with PR 1296 in March, followed by Barron’s ACT 36, PR 6 ACT tests, Barron’s English, Reading and Writing workbook. Now I am giving mock tests from Red book, past papers and Barron’s 6 ACT tests.
What I can tell you is, Barron’s are quite hard compared to Red book. Princeton is somewhat difficult but comparable. So the best thing to do now, considering the time left, is giving tests from Red book and past sample papers.
