Have any of you guys found the Priceton Review classes helpful? I feel like I could be a competitive applicant but my SAT scores are really holding me back (I haven't taken the actual SAT, but last time I took the ACT I only got a 29:(). I'm pretty bad about making myself "study" for the SAT, so I was thinking this class might help make me do it. Its expensive though, so I was just wondering if you guys thought it was worth it?

I personally thought it was horrible haha

Honestly they just teach you stuff that you would know to do on your own anyway like eliminate answers that are obviously wrong

The only thing good that came out of the course was the book they give you with practice SATs (it has the explanation of the answers too) I found that book helpful cause I did the practice questions on my own

I'd suggest just getting the book and doing some self-study; do some questions and whenever you get something wrong or don't understand a question, look it up in the book and then learn from it :)

but seriously, the classes did Absolutely Nothing for me

A 29 is not that bad a score...can you study for the ACT again and retake?

I probably should. I'm signed up for the SAT's this weekend (first time trying them), but maybe I could take the ACT standby next weekend. I did pretty bad on the ACT but randomly got a 36 on reading. It would be nice if I could get 32+ though...

if you've never done the Princeton review book on your own, then the class will be very interesting but I did the book on my own before I took the class and didn't learn alot new.... it does give you alot of practice though...
