Princeton SCEA Chance

The application's really been getting me nervous since I applied SCEA, so I thought I might ask some of you to "chance" me, as I think it's called. Any feedback is greatly appreciated and if any of you have specifics on the Princeton admission process itself (the dates and such), I'd love to hear from you! Here are the stats:

Academics:

GPA: 101.56%(100-scale, weighted, don't know unweighted)

SAT Reasoning: CR 780, M 800, W 800 (E 11)

SAT Subjects: Math II 800, Physics 800

APs: American Govt. & Pol. 5, Computer Science A 5, English Lang. & Comp. 5

12th Grade Courses: AP Calculus AB, Desktop Publishing 10-12, AP Economics (Micro- and Macro-), Honors English 12, French 12, Physical Education 11-12, AP Physics B, Religious Education 12

Awards: Academic First Honors (9,10,11,12); General Excellence Award (9,10,11); AP Scholar Award (11)

Extra-Curriculars:

-Student Council (9,10,11,12)(President 12)
-Violin (9,10, started Gr. 2)
-Model United Nations (10,11,12)(Regional * General Assembly Executive Possitions 10,11,12)
-Debate Team (11)(Cofounder-with 2 others)

Awards:

-House System Award (10,11)(2nd place 10, 1st place 11)
-Art Competition (10,11)(4th place 10, 2nd place 11)

As is obvious, I've just included details from the Common App, as all I want to know is if the deficiency in extra-curriculars has already knocked me out of the international applicant pool. However, please feel free to ask for more details if you think they'd help you form a better opinion! Thanks for your help and its great to be part of College Confidential!

We’d need to know class rank. Even if your school doesn’t officially rank, we need to know if you’re top of class to even begin to opine. Right now all we see is high scores which alone is not enough.

It’s tough to get into P without a stand out EC. If you’re highly accomplished on the violin and have significant honors and awards, that could be enough.or if you’ve won national level debate tournaments…

Yeah, I realize that a lot of people are putting their school details up, so i guess I might as well:

Country: Japan
School Type: Religious
Class Rank: 1 (out of 12-pitiable, I know)

*our school has never had anyone get into the Ivies in the past 30 years. It also offers just the baseline extra-curriculars, such as Student Council and NHS–we just can’t have math clubs and science clubs with a 50-student high school! And in Japan, because of the language barrier, foreigners are restricted from doing anything outside school as well–it’s all in Japanese. I don’t know if Princeton will consider this; I tried to make it really clear in the alumni interview.

dasadhikarik,
It’s also very hard to chance international students, as admissions for int’ls are even more unpredictable than national ones.

However, I would say that, given your impressive academic record, you have a pretty good chance for SCEA. I assume you won’t be applying for financial aid? Generally, Int’l students don’t get very good FA offers (although I’m not sure about Princeton’s int’l policy).

Good luck to you! Keep your head up, and remember that no matter what happens, there is always going to be another college well-suited for you.

yea your ec’s are not gonna compare to most princeton applicants but your scores and grades are good enough. You have an average chance

Ah, you’re international. A much tougher pool overall and they have plenty of choice from Japan. You’re certainly in the running, but be prepared to apply more widely to ensure a spot in a top school if you want to be in the US.
