Princeton supplement questionnn

Hey,

Do you guys have any idea how long the description of your last two summers should be in the common app supplement? It doesn't give you any idea about the length...

Thank yaaaa doogas

You have to allow pop-ups in your browser while doing the application. Otherwise you won't get the "alert" that you have exceeded the 1500 char limit. Even if you do fit it in 1500 chars, when you preview the supplement in pdf it will double space what you wrote and half will be missing. I think the supplement is "broken". I think it might be safer to put a short comment in and then put your answer in the Additional Information field which allows lots of characters.

the double spacing may be the result of copying text from Word and pasting it into the supplement... Looks like an extra step is needed to make sure there are no "hard returns" on the line endings, pasting the text into a dumb editor like notepad on windows or TextEdit (in plain mode) on the mac and making the paragraphs all one line that autowraps without inserting a "hard return".
Copy from this into the supplement should work without double spacing.
Whew - hope that works.
