is it really ok to use the common app and suppliment instead their own?
some say use theirs but my GC say it does not matter. Please help.

GC is right.... Common app supplement prints out Orange
much like Pton's own application...

If you aren't applying to too many other schools I would use Princeton's, not the common application. The common application was designed to help ease the costs and inconveniences for low income students (paying 8 different colleges, 8 application's worth of work, in addition to the fact that they might have a full time job, etc.) It shouldn't be an excuse for a lazy well-off senior to cut corners doing the app work.

This is 100% wrong. The common app doesn't allow you to save any money, application fees are still mandatory for each school you apply to. Using the CommonApp will not hurt you AT ALL and doesn't show by any means that you are "lazy", LOL

Did Princeton accept the common app last year? I was trying to find the results for ED for the class of 2011. I was curious if people listed whether they used the common app or the Princeton app and if there were any trends there with acceptances. I will be using the common app, since I've tried the online Princeton applicaiton and I have trouble saving my work; sometimes it just won't connect to the server -- I thought it might have something to do with using a mac and Safari, but I tried Firefox too and had the same problems.

Princeton had Common App and I'd say there is no real advantage to not using it.
