Princeton University Class of 2023 SCEA Applicants Thread

My email refers me to /status not /admitted

So, looks like I’m gonna be at someone’s birthday party when decisions come out… guess I’m gonna hold back those tears and stuff my face with cake

Hahahaha I’m gonna be in Econ, probably at 4 I’ll like run to the bathroom haven’t decided

Lmao same, I have to be at an NHS party so they’re all gonna bug me about it and I’m gonna be sad when I have to say I got rejected ??

I have my Harvard interview right before the decisions come out haha. It’s gonna be a stressful day!

good luck! gosh i’ll be home procrastinating and waiting to cry at 7pm lmao the worst thing is i have 3 big tests on thursday as well

I just syumbled upon this forum today. I’m glad I did. It’s nice to know I’m not alone in this. It takes some of the stress of my awaiting deferral/rejection off. Thank you all.

Hey everyone,
Does anyone know if second-semester courses planned appear on early transcripts? I was signed up to take a Global Online Academy course over the summer, which appears as part of my school courses/grades. However, I now want to drop this course because of other academic commitments. Will it appear on the first quarter transcripts (obviously without grade yet) I already sent? if so, would it look bad if it were dropped and would emailing to explain the situation guarantee that no harm is done?

Update, I found out from my schedule that it does show up on the transcript that was sent. I really don’t want to take this online class for a couple of reasons:

  • I might not be completely qualified for it
  • Choir has been key to my high schools experience but scheduling has conflicted for the past three semesters, forcing me to only go to choir rehearsal once a week instead of a full class that meets three times a week. I would be able to finally join a class in my second semester if I don’t take this class.
  • I have a research internship lined up for the spring and need lot of extra time during the day and week to stay on track.
  • All my other classes are AP’s and regardless of where I go to school, I want to be able to study and do pretty well on those.

Anyone have any thoughts on whether Princeton, or any other schools for that matter, would see it badly if I were to drop the class for reasons mentioned above?

Hey guys,
Any fellow NSW Aussies out there who are super keen to be successively slapped in the face by their HSC results, Princeton decision and ATAR?
Good luck to you all!

Boy, I can’t wait to get my SAT II scores and Princeton decison on the same day! Maximum stress levels

I think it’s better not to be too stressed! I’m predicting deferral, but am so excited about either Princeton or wherever else I’ll end up. Decided to open the decision Thursday at 7 instead of tomorrow B-)

@wicuber Wow that’s some major willpower lol! I can’t wait any longer!!!

Impressive, but what is your rationale behind it. (I personally couldn’t wait that extra day).@wicuber

@rshrawg lol why would you be in econ, they come out at 7PM??

@collegebl123 Lol dude, not everyone lives in the East Coast

@collegebl123 Well 7 pm Eastern time is 4 pm Western time right…@rshrawg might still have class then

@rshrawg Four main reasons haha:

  1. Taking a math test and don’t want to be influenced by a good/bad result
  2. Have a lot of work tomorrow
  3. Finishing touches on all my RD applications (so I can just hit send and forget about stressing over break)
  4. Just because

Good luck to everyone by the way!

But won’t you still be out of school…?

@wicuber Mad respect man. Personally, I wanna know as soon as possible. If I get in I’m ready to celebrate and if I don’t I’m also grateful to be able to move on. It’s this waiting and suspense that’s the worst for me!
