Princeton University Regular Decision

I'd be happy to :) . Unfortunately, right now I only have a recording in the form of a cassette tape...I'll try to see what I can do to put it on the computer.

I know someone who had lower stats and about the same quality of EC's as you, and the person got in RD, so I think you have a good chance

You have a very good chance.

You really can't assume anything about a particular person from hearing about someone with lower stats getting in at places like Princeton.

*It is a violation of Georgetown's rules on EA to apply somewhere else EA as well. * That you would apply to two school early, get in, then still apply to about ten more is ridiculous. I hope you get rejected from Princeton because you are clearly applying to it based on family connections and prestige alone, if you already got into two excellent schools early that you are now disregarding. Also, you violated a school's admissions rules, which alone should get your application rescinded.

yalehopeful, calm down. you're just jealous.

Georgetown only restricts its early action applicants from applying to binding early decision schools. The University of Chicago is a multiple-choice early action school.

Next time, do a little research before you flame someone without provocation.

Thanks s'vrone for correcting yalehopeful8's accusation. Yes, both UChicago and Georgetown are early action schools, meaning you can apply to more than one early. They are not SINGLE CHOICE early action. I didn't violate anything, and you really don't need to insult me.

Calm down, yalehopeful8. I'm sorry that you're bitter because you didn't get into Yale. Don't hate on other people, especially tchaikvosky, cuz this kid is going to be taking all your spots in college. HAh.

Family connections seems to work at Princeton as it has the highest alumni giving ratio. Admissions likes to admit qualified legacies for many good reasons, one of them is that wealthy alumni respond by their generous giving. This in turn filters down to students with need who will graduate with zero debt:)

Tchaikovsky's chances really are favorable due to his academic record and EC's. Hopefully the essays followed suit.

Plus legacies have already made their peace with the godawful orange and black umbrellas you will be carrying for years....

Even the notsogodawful ones with the small P logo were sold out for Freshmen Parents Weekend. Rained cats and dogs that week!

Hahah, I actually enjoy the black and orange combination...they're very unique for school colors

I think you'll be pleased when you get your acceptance to Princeton University Class of 2010.

three things:

oh. my. god. why even question your stats? too good.

people are jealous (me included, but imnot bitter)

i have a black and orange umbrella i bought when i was there two weeks ago...it was raining like mad.

hahah thanks! I should get one of those umbrellas ;)

I have two friends with similar stats that applied EA to Stanford & Yale. The one to Stanford was rejected; the one to Yale was accepted. You have a right to be confident, but just remember that there is limitations to even the best. Stay grounded, but you will likely be accepted.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I'm definetly staying grounded.

I'm just wondering: what do you plan on majoring in if you go to Princeton? I'd say that your music and compositions is a definite hook, which the officers will appreciate greatly.

Hey, I'm kind of new to this board, but I just got contacted for a Princeton interview. I started out feeling pretty comfortable with my stats at the beginning of the year but after being rejected by some top programs already, I feel very depressed. Could anyone tell me if my stats look like they could get me accepted or more likely rejected?
