Princeton University's Multicultural Open House

I've received an invitation to Princeton University's Multicultural Open House event, which takes place on 15 September. I absolutely have no idea whether or not I should attend this. Has anyone on CC attended this event? If so, was it worthwhile? Is Open House to any university worthwhile?

For over a decade Princeton University has invited promising high school students to visit Princeton to gain an understanding of the education opportunities available at the university. The event normally attracts more than 300 students and parents. You will have the opportunity to listen to a panel of current students discuss their life at Princeton, visit with students in a social setting, and tour the university. If you do not have a conflict such as participating in a athletic event I see no reason not to attend. You will learn more about Princeton so that you can better compare Princeton to other universities.

Hi, is it considered an honor to be invited to this event. Because a lot of my other friends, who are much smarter than me, were not invited. So I’m just wondering whether or not it’s based on ethnicity, or grades, or some other aspect and whether or not it means I may have a chance of getting into Princeton.
