Which has the best instrumental music program out of those 3 (not including the NEC program with harvard, just plain and simply the wind ensembles and orchestras of those three schools)? Are they apples and oranges, or does anyone know of one of those orchestras/wind ensembles being at a superior level (comparable to a music school)?

yale? i dont really know. im just pretending to.

harvard is known for the best orchestra. then princeton. then yale

From what I know, Yale easily has the best undergraduate music program among the Ivies. If you want to major in music, go to Yale. Princeton's music department is relatively small and unknown.

But Harvard has that conservatory or something right?
Sorry I don't know anything about Harvard ::makes face:: hehe

If you're looking for jazz (as am I), Princeton has the best program in the Ivy League, followed by probably Columbia... but this probably isn't the info you're looking for anyway...

no harvard has the best music program.
for the orchestra scene princeton is better than yale by a lot
