I was very fortunate to get into Princeton, MIT, and Penn M&T, as the title of this thread suggests. I regard each school very highly. However, I have to make a decision. Can anyone help me out? What's the logical choice?
(I'm interested in both engineering and economics/business. I was surprised to learn that Princeton is actually pretty good for engineering.)

It depends on what kind of ENgineering you want do, but Princeton is (unlike what some rankings might suggest) amongst the best in Engineering.
If you are interested in both of those fields, have you considered ORFE? Princeton’s ORFE is unmatched.
Overall, when it comes to an Undergrad experience (which is not limited to the major), Princeton would be the best choice.
If you have any more specific questions, write them here and I will try to answer them for you.
PS: I am an EE & CS major at Princeton (kind of)

All of the schools you listed are excellent in every way. You won’t be disadvantages because you went to Princeton over MIT, or vice versa. It is now up to you to decide where YOU want to go. Consider financial aid, atmosphere, surrounding area, and everything else that matters to YOU.

There is no logical choice. Only one of the heart.

And if you want to make millions, at some point you’re going to have to follow that heart, so good time to start exercising it. :^)

Can anyone also advise based on same schools, but for Premed?

Thanks!!!

Personally, I chose Princeton over MIT because of the finaid, the liberal arts education, and the general atmosphere; I didn’t want to be a math/science nerd 24/7, even if sometimes I am anyway for the heck of it. They’re all great choices. :)

@tennis1324: MIT has the greatest edge out of the three aforementioned schools in terms of both engineering (for obvious reasons) and economics/business (Sloan). Penn M&T and Princeton ORFE may be on equal footing with each other following that, unless you’re leaning to engineering in which case I’d pick Princeton; conversely, if you’re inclined to economics/business, Penn M&T is the clear choice because of Wharton. Wharton is unmatched in that area.

@tiger14: For premed I would definitely not choose MIT. As a premed you need to maintain the highest GPA possible regardless of institution and, as many have said, the curriculum at MIT is “like drinking water from a firehose.” I’d be iffy about Princeton too since there is somewhat of a deflationary grade trend there. Penn CAS would be the most preferable.

@OREngineering: oops, should’ve made it clear that I meant for engineering in general. I don’t know anything about premed.

oops myself as well, i @'d the wrong person. i meant to @newsstand1234. sorry xP
