Hi guys,

I got into MIT EA and Princeton RD. I have had time to fall in love with MIT but I really applied to Princeton on a whim and shockingly got in. I am still learning about Princeton.

I am thinking Chemical Engineering as a major and I am most likely (although not certain) that I'll be pre-med. My major is subject to change. I really am not sure of my plans. I just know it'll be science related.

I got the same financial aid at both places so that is not going to be a deciding factor.

Opinions?

Thanks in advance!

I’d recommend MIT for pre-med, however, not for premed combined with engineering…

MIT’s engineering programs are hard, and many many students get C’s for classes… Which won’t look that great when you apply to med schools…

Idk too much about Princeton’s engineering, but I do know they have grade deflation, which stresses pre-meds a LOT… But then again, so does MIT… (although mostly for engineers)

If you do engineering + premed, Princeton, otherwise MIT.

Besides that though, I personally LOVE MIT, so I’d recommend them on any other aspect. :D

Either way though, both schools are great…

They are both hard schools and have grade deflation.
