If you want to go to med school, take the guarantee med school acceptance. If you do anything else, go to Princeton.

UofA would certainly be a great option, their pre-medical program looks very strong. I think Princeton would present some great academic opportunities, but Arkansas would make better sense economically.

I don’t know how Arkansas structures their pre-med program, but you could study business courses and maybe minor or even major in business there and still obtain pre-requisites for med school. Just be sure that if you decide to go that route to meet with a good advisor and schedule properly.

I see your conundrum now! Good luck!

Princeton don’t look back

Princeton … man I can assure you that you were not regret it if you go to Princeton. You would have a shot at places like Harvard Medical school even with average grades and if you decide to change your mind and not go to medical school where does that leave you?

As ucbalumnus said, I don’t really see medicine as a backup. I could see business more as a backup to medicine, sure. You have to decide if you want to go into medicine. If you’re looking for a startup… well I’m not sure if Princeton will do much for you there. But it does sound that you are pretty unsure of your career path. In which case I would also go to Princeton. It leaves the most doors open. Chances are, if you’re qualified to get into Princeton, you’ll do well enough to get into a med school anyways. But that’ll also leave doors open into business and other fields that you may be interested in.
