Dartmouth and Princeton have so long prided themselves on undergraduate focus that a major change would likely be vomited out.<br>
If Jim Kim at Dartmouth proposed doubling the size of the medical school, he would be defending the idea the rest of his tenure, IMO. I bet he would get it, given his phenomenal stature coming in. But the goodwill lost would impact the rest of his leadership at Dartmouth, which by all appearances, he plans to be a long lived one.
By the way, that is one lovely lake. A great place to start a jog.</p>
<p>Princeton has a pretty good engineering trade school, offering degrees up through PhD.</p>
