What are the free facilities offered at Princeton for students. Dillion gym has many interesting classes offered (see this link) - but at $80 for a yoga class or $55 to take a dance class.... How can they ask students to pay for a class when Physical Education is a mandatory no-credit requirement at Princeton?

Are there any free aerobic classes for Princeton students? What exactly are the fitness facilities offered at Dillion gym - treadmills, bikes?

Physical Education is not mandatory, at least I haven't heard anything about it being so. Dillon has everything your heart could desire, Basketball courts, Squash courts, Swimming pool, tens of treadmills, exercise bikes and elliptical walkers, many weight machines, an entire floor of free weights, dance studio and other stuff I'm sure. There are also lots of Tennis courts on campus and if you can manage your way into Jadwin, you can use the indoor Tennis courts there and they even have an underground baseball field for practice (yes, baseball).

I thought PE was a requirement because, stated in the Undergraduate Announcement: "The University beleives in the importance of physical education as an integral part of undergraduate education, and it expects students to avail themselves of the opoportunities these programs provide. Physical education courses are open to all students on a non-credit basis."

Thanks for the description of the facilities pimpdaddy. Is there any personal training or fitness counseling that doesn't involve a fee - if a student needed a fitness testing and height weight analysis done, for example?

There is also a for-credit dance department (Program in Theater and Dance). Dillon gym is extremely popular among students. There is also a gym for varsity athletes. And the residential colleges and some other groups have intramural sports competition.

Yeah, the only requirements are the AB and BSE requirements that are stated in the first section of the UA. Again, they'd like you to take some PE course, but it's by no means necessary mandatory. Thank goodness :) Although taking a couple of cool athletic/PE courses might be fun...
