<p>some of princeton's strongest departments and programs, and those for which it is best known, are math, physics, philosophy, creative writing, economics, english, and history. as for engineering, princeton is second in the ivies (to cornell), and twelfth overall, in u.s. news's rankings of undergraduate programs. harvard and yale are 31st and 44th, respectively.</p>
<p>Princeton has an excellent chemical engineering department. However, I'm thinking about it in terms of graduate programs (which is where most engineering departments generate prestige).</p>
