<p>So do colleges look at the print preview, or do they look at the online app itself? replies to my e-mail to commonapp's support team indicate that everything that you say online is stored in the school's database, but is that copy the one they look at?</p>
<p>I’ve heard conflicting information on this. I just assumed that they look only at the print preview, since that’s the safest thing to do.</p>

<p>Well, Print Preview on the Common App is gimmicky. Because it’s trying to fit typed information (in a rigid font) onto a piece of paper, it doesn’t display some data. For example, if you type a good amount of stuff (but not even near the character limit) into the Additional Information section, a lot of it will not show up because it gets hidden by the signature section.</p>
