Printers...

Would you guyz rec. that I buy my own printer? Or can u get by with the ones on campus? I just don't want to pay every single time I print....

Some colleges allow free printing (like mine, but only in the library), however it's becoming less and less. My college is putting a limit on printing per student starting next year. I recommend you getting a printer. It doesn't have to be the super printer (print, scan, fax, photocopy), because I doubt that you're going to need extra features. Just as long as it works.

Yeah, I thought most places had printer accounting software on the networked that allowed you a pre-defined number of pages. If you run out, you pay to have your account re-filled.

There was a really long thread on printers recently.

Is there any point to getting a dual printer/scanner? Do you ever use a scanner in college?

I heard the tech guy at DePauw telling someone that a scanner really isn't necessary. Apparently people don't use them very often. If need, a shcool scanner is most likely available.
