Do we need a printer in our dorm or is it okay to be dependent on the library printer system or computer center located in several dorms?
and how much is it to get it printed from the school property printers?
Is it better to have one ready in your dorm so that it can be more accessible and maybe cheaper?!

printing is free in all computer labs except the ones in Bobst Library. then it’s .10 a page.

it’s more convenient to have one in your room. print out that paper while you’re getting dressed, grab it and run to class!

if you can arrange it with your roommate, you could even split the cost for the printer. i rarely print things out (most of my professors want digital copies) so i don’t have a printer, myself.

Oh so do the compter labs open for 24 hours/day?

that’s good to know printing can get rather expensive. I’m sure NYU has a ton of computer labs so I guess we don’t need printers then.

third north is open 24/7. so is Bobst. the other computer labs are usually open from 7am to 11pm.
