<p>This year instead of being the mom, I am working with inner city students to do college apps. I can't seem to get the Common App. to print out those prefilled (with the student name and info) recommendation forms. All the student and I could find was some "Invite" link, where, I presume, we would be "inviting" the recommendation writers, to do it online, electronically. Last year my son could just print out the forms, sign them, and do it on paper. I know, so old school, but that's what we need now. How do I do this? Did the Common App. change that much? Where do I find the link to do this? Did the student sign onto some all-electronic form of the Common App.? Bleah!</p>

<p>You actually do use the ‘Invite’ option - you enter the teacher’s name, but you don’t enter an email. They will appear as ‘Offline Provider’ and you’ll be able to download the personalized forms (including the Common App identification code).</p>
<p>Yuck @ inner-city students. I hate when people label us like that. Like we’re abandoned puppies or something.</p>
