Printing?

How many free pages do we get again? And is that per year or per semester?

I have a printer so I never paid attention to that, but I am going to run out of ink before research papers are done. >.<

LSA: [ITS Campus Computing Sites](<a href=“ITS Home Page / U-M Information and Technology Services”>ITS Home Page / U-M Information and Technology Services)

Engineering: [Michigan Engineering | Page Allocations & Costs](http://www.engin.umich.edu/caen/printing/quotas.html)

Ah, thanks. I googled it but didn’t come across that page. Whoops!

i have a Q for engineers, what does everyone use with his/her 2000 pages? i haven’t gotten a chance to use any of them…i was thinking of printing some books… how about u guys?

print books. its awesome. I have a collection of CAEN printed books. Just go to the caen labs when its empty so you don’t annoy anyone thats trying to print a page by printing 100.

What kind of books do you print?

Here are the things i use my caen printing for:

  1. downloaded textbooks (japanese, engineering, physics, math, almost all are available)
    1b) Solutions manuals to textbooks
  2. general reading books
  3. scientific journals for work
  4. humanities course readings including assigned books, readings, etc.
  5. Homeworks, lab reports, etc.
  6. I dont do this but my friend prints out a crap load of paper with a fancy heading to take notes on
  7. anything that requires color printing
  8. Extra curricular needs (banners, etc)
  9. free paper

^, wana hook me up with some ways to get 1) and 1b) lol.

if you’re on campus, use something like filestube to download textbooks on rapidshare or megaupload. If you’re at home, just torrent it.

I wouldn’t recommend torrenting textbooks, even trackers which specialize in textbooks don’t have many compared to warez boards, and you’ll also have worse speeds.

Check warez-bb and gigapedia for textbooks.

As for how much paper I use, I still have $52 of credit on Engineering.
