(prior service applicant) question about CFA?

Hi, I'm a PV2 active duty female currently training in AIT, Fort Sam Houston TX to become a combat medic. I'm currently filling out the application for WP. Still got a couple of things to submit and lose ends to tie up here and there.

I still need to take to Candidate fitness assessment, but I'm extremely worried about this. I'm used to taking the Army PT test, so I have no problems with the push-ups, sit-ups and the run. But the other 3 events (bb throw, shuttle run, flexed arm hang) are killing me!! :(

When I do a mock CFA on my own, these are my usual scores.

bb throw: around 27ft
(Since I have no one else to help me look where
the ball lands, I can only do a rough estimate)

flexed arm hang: 1 sec
(This event is killing me the most!! I just can't stay above the bar......)

shuttle run: 10.7 sec

push-ups: 50 (I max the push-ups)
sit-ups: 80
1 mile run: 8:04 (Running isn't that great, but I can meet the average)

I called the admissions office and they said "failing even one event in the CFA = failing the whole CFA" They won't tell me the minimum score, just kept saying 'shoot for the average'.

Well, I'm worried I might NOT be able to meet the average for the other 3 events I suck at!! If I fail the CFA then I automatically won't be admitted! Do you guys have any idea roughly what the MINIMUM CFA score for females would be? If I can at LEAST meet the minimum for these 3 events, I won't be so stressed out.

I'm going to the gym as often as possible (the TRADOC environment doesn't really allow soldiers to have enough free time to go to the gym :/) to work on the assissted pull-up machine, lifting weights to increase upper body strength. I'm really trying the best I can, but not seeing any improvement is really frustrating......

Any inside info about CFA scoring would be much appreciated! Oh and if you have advice on how to improve bb throw&shuttle run&flexed arm hang that would be great too.

Thanks!!!! :D

I know when I took my first CFA, I reached 49 ft on the BB throw and missed it by 1 foot. So the minimum, for males at least, is 50 ft.

Check out this link for the BB throw for tips. Its all about form and position

For the flex arm hang, you can try to do it supported and in intervals. Have one leg supported on a chair in front of you and hold that position for like a minute or two. Then take a break and do it again. If you feel really daring, try some pull ups. Again do it supported and do 2, take a break, then do 4. Keep adding 2 more reps until you reached failure. This helped me get up to at least 20 pull ups.

For the shuttle run, its all about form and technique. Stay low to the ground when and be quick on your pivots. Its also best to do this event in the gym so your shoes are not sliding the ground or anything.
