Prior transfer student to Cal (Fall 2005): open for questions.

do you know anyone who was able to transfer with missing breadth requirements or having under 60 units, or being in any other situation that was supposed to have technically precluded them from transferring?

have any accepted on appeal stories?

how much interaction is their between cal and stanford students? I am asking this because I have always dreamt of going to stanford so I am hoping to live my dreams through possible stanford friends...haha...I also am wondering if the resources at stanford are accessible to cal students or are we basically hated the moment we step onto their campus. These are serious questions, I am not a flamer...just look at my post history. thanks in advance =]

thanks a lot comboplate...!

and how about the things i can do in terms of showing UC berkeley i am dedicated and i would be a perfect match for their school? which kind of officials could i talk to, to learn more, and get to know them on a personal level? like for example, would beginning a relationship with a professor in the major i'm going into help? could i get his recommendation when it comes time to applying to berkeley?

and also, when you applied as a transfer student, did they make you declaer your major? bc i just called someone who works there, and she said that everyone, even juniors, get into berkeley undeclared and that sounded wrong.

What do you know about the Mass Communications major? Is it very competitive? Of the people you know, do they enjoy the major? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Combo Plate is awesome!

Combo plate how hard is the history major?

Hi, I was wondering if you knew or heard of anyone at Cal that was a transfer student from another UC or a 4 year private university. I realize that transfer priority is given to CCC students and that I probably should be happy with going to UC Davis, but Cal has always been the school I have wanted to go to and they have SUPERB Biochemistry, which is what I want to study. If you have any knowledge on this type of a transfer I would be most appreciative. Also thank you Combo Plate for setting up this thread!
