Prior waitlisted student looking to transfer

I'm taking a year off to travel and write after my first year at a top 5 (according to US News) LAC. Georgetown was my first choice but waitlisted me as a high school senior, and after realizing that a New England liberal arts college is not what I wanted, I keep daydreaming about being a Hoya.

Honestly, that waitlist letter was a bit of a shock. Class rank of 6/200, SAT 750 M, 710 V, 760 W. Very strong support from high school in terms of LOR's. Unique activities. Well liked guy.

In college I had a 3.93 GPA in my freshman year as a declared classics major -- again at a top 5 LAC. Unfortunately, I simply hate the place. Two professors have offered to write very strong letters.

My question is, should I assume that Georgetown will take me the second time around? I'd rather do just one application and not go through the whole agony of applying to many schools again.

PS -- That sounds so arrogant; I'm honestly not like that. I suppose that when you combine the annonymity of the internet with the year of disappointment that followed that rejection letter, some latent attitude comes out, sorry. Any advice on the above question, however, would be appreciated.

If you maintain your stats, definitely.
