Priority Apps, Rolling Admissions and ED

My D has applied to a college that sent her a Priority App and expects to have a decision in 3 weeks. She has also applied to a public university with rolling admissions, and expects to have a decision from that school in October, as well.

However, she also plans to apply to other colleges which happen to be more selective/competitive than the two already in the bank. Each of those schools has ED I and ED II. She won't make the ED I deadline but she could easily make the ED II deadlines. She is likely to be accepted at both of the schools to which she has already applied. Assuming this does happen, but she does not have to respond until April or May, can she still apply ED II in December to one of the more selective colleges?

We really need an answer to this one.

Yeah, she can apply EDII. The thing is, though, that if she's accepted ED they will then expect her to withdraw her applications from the other two schools. If they've accepted her before the ED decision, she would be expected to then inform them she will not be attending. But yeah, you can submit other apps prior to hearing from you ED school, you just can't submit any afterwards if you are accepted.

Also she can only apply to ONE school ED, so she'd have to decide which one is her first choice. (She could apply to one EDI and if that doesn't work out, apply to the other one EDII... but not two at once for the same ED cycle.)

rentof2: Thank you!
