<p>you don’t apply for LEP. Some majors are labeled Limited enrollment because the school can only accommodate a certain # of students. So if you choose a major that is LEP when you apply one of two things can happen. 1. It can be more competitive because they have a limited number of spots or 2. your chances of admission are greater because the LEP label discouraged students from applying to that specific major. but who really knows! If you already applied and you’re not sure go onto the applyyourself application site and you can check…from what I can tell half if not more of the majors are LEP. hope that answered your question</p>

<p>I’m assuming we will get an email when our decisions are ready. That’s what other colleges have been doing before they send out the official letter. I’ve been checking everyday and so far nothing. It’s January 31st when they release the decisions, correct?</p>

<p>I hate how they don’t post results a day or two earlier than their intended date like other colleges. I know they have a large volume but still.</p>
<p>neuroscience - I agree. Both UVA and UNC Chapel Hill are releasing decisions today - they are both dealing with a lot of EA apps and have managed to get them done early. Maybe UMD will feel some pressure and release soon…</p>

<p>I applied to LEP Bioengineering, with the second choice being undecided… Since my real second choice is Microbio, which I believe is also an LEP. So that isn’t helpful.</p>

<p>Last year decisions came out on Monday Jan 31. The year before I believe it was Jan 30, but that was a Saturday and it didn’t matter because they were closed for the weekend. I am betting it will be Jan 31 again and after 5 p.m. when the emails go out. They don’t want anyone calling them and complaining as soon as they get their decision.</p>
