Priority Deadline?

First of all, what is the difference between Priority Deadline and Early Action?

Secondly, like Early Action, can you get deferred and re-evaluated during Regular Decision?

Finally, does Clemson factor in your first semester senior grades since you receive your decision around February 15? Or are your first semester grades only factored in if you apply regular decision?

Thanks

Clemson DOES NOT have Early Action.

All they have is a priority deadline of December 1st and if you apply by this date you will get a final response on or around February 15th. You can appeal your decision and be re-evaluated again but otherwise your decision will remain final. If you send all your school stuff by the end of December, it’ll probably factor into your decision. Just make sure you don’t wait too long on that.

Alright thanks, I already know that Clemson does not have Early Action, I just wanted to know the difference. Also, does Priority Deadline mean that you have a higher chance of getting accepted compared to Regular Decision? I know at other schools applying Regular Decision as opposed to Early Action can give you a higher chance of getting accepted for borderline students because it factors in first semester grades.

This is just my theory but I think you do have a better chance if you apply priority. Since after February 15th, they start rolling admissions, there will be more “spots” open if you apply early (and quite a number of people apply by December 1st).
