<p>Hey everyone! Since there's no official thread that everyone's using, I thought I'd make a new one. I'm so stoked for next year! :)</p>

<p>Decision: Accepted for fall & College Park Scholars! (don't think i'm gonna do CPS though)
Date Received: 1/31/11</p>

<p>Major: Government and Politics</p>

<p>UW GPA: 3.14/W GPA: 3.7</p>

<p>SATs: 1350/1600;2120/2400--590 M 760 CR 770 W (yeah, i fail at math. :])</p>

<p>APs: 11 at the end of senior year (US Government and Politics-5, English Language-5, Macroeconomics-4, Microeconomics-4, Psychology-4, US History-4)</p>

<p>Senior Course Load: AP English Lit, AP Euro, AP Environmental, AP Spanish, AP Comparative Government, AP Stats!</p>

<p>ECs: xc, track, habitat for humanity, claws, newspaper editor in chief, internship with the MD Democratic Reelection Committee</p>

<p>Essays: well, i didn't think they were poorly written, just stupid</p>

<p>Recommendations: very good</p>

<p>Hooks: none? in a special english/social studies program at my school</p>

<p>County: Hoco
State: Maryland!</p>

<p>*I don't think I'll mesh well with the people at UMD though...I love Duke basketball!</p>

<p>I’m gonna try to find out when the website sorts itself. The traffic is understandable, of course.</p>

<p>Decision: Accepted, but I can’t access the decisions page because of all the traffic so Idk if I got Scholars or Honors. I think I did. I’ll edit when I find out.</p>

<p>UW GPA: 3.65/W GPA: 4.3</p>

<p>SATs: 2210, 740 Math, 740 Reading, 730 Writing</p>

<p>ACT Combined: 34</p>

<p>APs: AP Biology-5, AP Psychology-5, AP Language-5, currently taking AP Physics C and AP BC Calculus</p>

<p>Senior Course Load: AP Physics C, AP BC Calculus, IB Social Anthropology, English 12, Body Sculpting, Advanced Chamber Choir, Food Trends</p>

<p>ECs: 4 years of chorus, 3 years of theater, 108 hours of volunteer experiences including soup kitchen work, volunteering at the National Air and Space Museum, thrift store work, Literacy Council volunteering, and a job</p>

<p>Essays: I rushed these like all hell. They were pretty vague.</p>

<p>Recommendations: I’m best buds with the teacher who wrote mine. </p>

<p>Hooks: Females in science, low-income, international background</p>

<p>County: MoCo
State: Maryland</p>

<p>I’m waiting to hear back from Rice University. If I get rejected there, then it’s UMD for me.</p>

SATs: 1930, 650 Math, 690 Reading, 590 Writing</p>

<p>APs: AP Psychology, currently taking AP Micro and AP Gov Pol</p>

<p>Senior Course Load: AP govpol, AP micro, physics, english CEP, calc and german IV</p>

<p>ECs: a little bit of everything </p>

<p>Essays: pretty good but not as good as my other ones.</p>

<p>Recommendations: I’m best buds with the teacher who wrote mine. </p>

<p>Hooks: i really have none hahah</p>

<p>County: SOmerset
State: New Jersey</p>

<p>90 percent sure ill be a terp next year :)</p>
