bigboi26 -- very smart thinking! lol that is a very good idea. that way it doesn't ruin your weekend if you don't get in. i don't have any patience (i've already waited for 2 months!) so i'm probably gonna end up checking it later today... after i finish my paper. that is my motivation. i can check my application status once i finish this paper lol

question on the application review process:
UIUC consider you for the university first before your specific major right?
So it is possible for one to be accepted but not necessarily accepted to the intended major.
Just wondering because I am apply from out of state for business and as Redlight said earlier, it is extremely difficult :(

sushi cutter -- well actually they consider you for the major first, THEN the university. but that is essentially the same thing. so yes, it is possible for you to be accepted to the university, but not to your specific major. in previous years, students use to have the option in their application to be considered for the university itself (in case you weren't admitted to your chosen major). however, they recently changed it and now ALL students are considered for that option.

GAHHHHHHHH 35 minutes!! My sister and I (she's the one applying) are sitting here in agony, constantly refreshing the admissions page.
3.2 GPA (improvement)
25 ACT
Massive Massive community award for a cooking club she started...

.. and already rejected from almost every college she applied to, but UIUC is her first choice..

Forget about what I said before about finishing the paper first. The suspense is killing me! I'm checking it now! Even if the site will be completely flooded... lol
