Priority Decision Results (2011)

well then armusic way to settle everyones nerves!
lol, great stats i bet you’re in
now i’m not sure about the rest of us mortals…

Lol I apologize. Really, the only reason I filled out the thing is because I NEED something to occupy me…

people with these rediculous GPA’s/SATS need to stop being so nervous

yeah all you 34-36 ACTS 4.5 gpas are as good as in
wow im so nervous
i hate waiting its worse than applying

Haha, hows it going Bradley?

Nothing much Josh, just waiting for UMD to finally send out those decisions.

Was this supposed to be a “decision thread”??? If SO this means “decisions” only …

Agreed. Normally I wouldn’t mind people having conversations over threads, as I do it too. But every time I get on the website and see new posts on the results thread it gets my hopes up!! :/

I know you guys are all anxious, but I wanted to tell you that reading this thread made me smile and remember what my son went through last year. Signing on and finding out he was accepted to his number one college choice was such an exciting moment…and it’s a moment he will never have again. So even though you are all going nuts right now, try to appreciate the amazing, once-in-a-lifetime thing that will be happening really soon, and remember that the build-up is part of the process!

P.S. My son LOVES UMD.

Can anyone tell me what kind of chances I have at receiving merit scholarships from UMD (Presidential, Banneker/Key, etc.). I really appreciate it!

I:

applied for fall 2011 at college park

am a white male

was homeschooled all of high school

3.98 unweighted gpa

captain of several varsity sports teams

a lot of community service

acheived A’s in Calculus 1, 2, and 3 at community college (in high school)

Maryland Distinguished Semifinalist

Thanks!

@spret1026 i’m just wondering how you can be homeschooled yet capt of varsity teams?

Good question! I am homeschooled under a local private school’s umbrella program. I am able to play on their teams and attend coop classes with other homeschoolers.

This is not the thread to post that information.

thats actually kinda cool…so its like you go to school at home most of the time but you can still do the extra curriculars at school and you get like networked w other homeschoolers? cool. i approve.

so ur captain of a team with only home schooled kids?

@cammac yeah that’s exactly what it is! i love it…

and @redskins 1993, actually both the private school members and the homeschoolers try out for the same teams…

I’m tired of waiting

anyone think results will go up at midnight?

I don’t think they’ll be up at midnight

One can hope, but my money is during the day tomorrow
