Hook: MD resident, interdisciplinary interests, good writer? no clue…

I applied RD. You guys have some really high SAT score. Mine was really low…just 1530. My GPA was 4.0 in freshman, 3.85 in sophomore, 3.85 in junior (Couldn’t get A in English!!). 3 APs, 2 IBs. I got Maryland Distinguished Scholars award - Honorable mention. Not a GREAT list of ECs. The more I think/ask around it looks like GPA does not count much…so i am really worried :frowning: I put myself around 90% of getting rejected after looking at the ED profiles.

Don’t count Urself out I did but I got accepted with a 3.6 gpa 1770 sat
Oos according to the stats I had no chance but I got fall for one reason or another. Goodluck but missing the priority deadline is a killer.

tekneek—you may consider going to a CC for a year if you don’t get a UMD accept (invader is correct…missing the priority deadline isn’t going to help your chances at all). MD students with really good grades in a community college for at least 1 semester have a much better chance of getting accepted as a transfer-in at UMDCP, especially if their h.s/SAT stats weren’t stellar.

Guys, admitted! Also invited to Honors College~
What would you say about Honors College in UMD? A nightmare studying with all talents?
