Thanks David! I hope I get degraff at least which I put for my third choice.

Which residential suite halls are the least popular and has a person a better chance of getting?

Kyle- your number is not as bad as you think. I think you will get into Wildwood or Degraff with it. My son was 1340 last year and got into his first choice (Wildwood).

Don’t overlook the fact that there is a fair percentage of students who will/have filed a housing application that will go to school elsewhere.

Kyle-

Out of all the suites, the least favorable in my opinion is Degraff. Although this suite dorm is relatively new and the interior is very nice, it is a bit out of the way and you need to cross Tennessee Street to access the dorm. Also these is an underground tunnel that leads into Degraff, also known as the rape tunnel. Naturally when some parents read about this rape tunnel they tend to shy away from this dorm. In my opinion, it is still a great suite dorm.

Not to mention how many people will forget to pay their housing deposit or send in the required paperwork on time.

What were your other choices? (You may have posted this already, but I apologize, I don’t remember if you did!)

I have faxed the housing agreement signed by my parent. Does anyone know if there’s a way to verify that they received my agreement? or should I call to make sure?

@FSUdad

Thank you for the reassurance!

My choices were 1) wildwood 2) broward 3) degraff 4) gilchrist

With the common double room that I switched to today while updating my preferences.

Wildwood has 700 spots, Broward has 130ish, Degraff another 700, and Gilchrist has a few (although if you aren’t in Honors, getting in there for Fall/Spring is really difficult, especially without a really good priority number.

You’ll likely get either Wildwood or DeGraff. Which is pretty good, since the two buildings are almost exact clones of each other, just in different locations. They’re also the newest buildings on campus open to freshmen, each around 4 years old.

Okay that sounds really good. I’m just worried my spot is horrible 1636 and wildwood and degraff only have 700 each

you will get wildwood or degraff. be glad people like me are giving up spots to go to salley :p

If you’re worried, have you thought about possibly looking into one of the Living-Learning Communities that are located within the buildings you are interested in? Both Wildwood and DeGraff house LLCs, and if you are accepted into the LLC, you are automatically given space in the dorm they are housed in (if you accept the invitation and join the LLC).

[Here’s a page that has a lot of good information about the LLCs that FSU offers.](http://housing.fsu.edu/livlearnsteps.html)

Guys, if I’m 18 do I needa fax/mail FSU anything signed with my parents and the housing agreement?

smartkid: no

Ok ok good. lol. I’m guessing the school already knows whos 18 and whos not right?

yeah…they know your date of birth.

my recalculated GPA is a 3.6! how low!

I hope I get Wildwood with my 764 priority number I also hope alot of kids who applied for housing end up going to UF or other schools so that my chances increase, lol.

Wildwood with a 764 priority number is a very good chance. My priority number my freshman year was in the 580s, and I got Wildwood. There have been reports here that people with priority numbers above 1000 were getting into Wildwood, so I think you have a good shot at Wildwood with a number of 764.
