@yellowjacket18 I would call them. We also live in WNY and received a decision on Feb 15. Has your myroc page changed, does it have the “2018 Experience Registration”? Are you sure it was Priority Review? Hoping for some good news for you.

Not sure about others, but they posted my merit scholarship info on my MyRoc account just now! (Wilder Trustee Scholarship!)

^ Congrats on your scholarship and thanks for letting us know it was posted. I will have my son check his MyRoc account when he gets home tonight.

Still no word from Rochester in eastern MA. Admissions office said to wait until the end of the week then call them back

I didn’t get a scholarship. Who else?

I got the Bausch and Lomb scholarship. They sent me an email too.

D just looked it up and reports a Dean’s Scholarship at $9k. Since she’s already locked in due to ED2 elsewhere, that in a way makes me feel better - it’s not like she’s giving up a half scholarship. She got more from Case Western.

WNY suburbs Feb 25th and not in todays mail.Same for classmates. Still no rejection in email.

Yellowjacket – did you log in and see whether you have 2018 experience on your MyRoc. If you do, I believe you are in. If you don’t, it either means you were denied or your application is actually being processed RD.

Feb 25th 9:00pm. Got wait-listed/ alternate list. I assume the students who got wait-listed ten days ago already submitted their alternate list form.

I also just got wait-listed.

@yellowjacket18 - I’m sorry about the wait list. If I can give you a little encouragement, though I believe you need to move forward with plan B. They have way over enrolled the last two years and housing has been a mess with many forced triples and I believe they’ve had to use the lounges as rooms. Rumor has it they are wait-listing more people to help control the numbers better this year. I don’t believe they rank the waitlist by first come first serve. I don’t think it would hurt to contact admissions to let them know you will attend, and if anything new comes up - better grades, any awards or honors - contact them with the updated information. If you have a good guidance counselor have them call on your behalf and see what they can find out.

The waiting list letter states"returning this form sooner maximizes your chances for admission".

D emailed and was told to wait until Friday and then call.

After waiting for two weeks we emailed Admissions. So far no response from them. However, D checked the spam box and the rejection email was in it. Surprising that all Rochester emails come to the Inbox except for this one. She is disappointed but has other good choices so we are okay. Good luck to those who were accepted and those still waiting!

@Mmorkous96, no scholarship here either. Only about 30% of U of R students get merit scholarships, so don’t feel bad! Congratulations to all of you who received merit awards!
