Hey... I went to a small public high school (~350 students covering grades 10-12). Last year racial tensions were extremely high between some whites and some native americans. It was the worst when a teacher got hurt so they cancelled all school events. Last year was also the year of the cliques for my high school experience. An overwhelming population of my school was either goth or punk, and therefore, too cool to be involved in school activities anyway. This year things are getting a little better and we're trying to encourage school spirit, but it's slow in the coming. Given that it's a public school, there are no dorms. People usually hang out after school at someone's house (as there are no real places for kids to go in my town). The parties are always good times, but one's gotta be careful. A girl I know recently had a party and she made the mistake of advertising it quite extensively. About 60 people showed up and it turned into a house destruction party. Eventually the cops came, arrested some stoners, and broke the party up. Not everything's that bad though haha. I went to Crescentview, the prep school, from kindergarden until grade 9, so making real friends wasn't an issue when I got to high school. That allowed grade 10 to be a great year. Grade 12 is also turning out to be a great year because there's a group of six of us who are all in french, english ap, physics. We're all also student government members and are on the Reach for the Top team. It's fun times =] Oh yah, speaking of AP classes. My school offers psychology, chemistry, english and calculus ab. The calc ab class had four people last year when I took it and this year has four again. Psychology (the grade 12 part) had probably 15 people, but the AP part is only me. I didn't take chemistry AP because I only got a 90% in grade 12 chemistry, but it has about 7 people. Finally, english ap has about 10 of us.

Anyway, after reading some posts from kids who attend private schools, I've realized how different some peoples' high school experiences are. Tell me about yours!
