Private Housing vs. Residence Halls

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I was recently accepted to Madison and I have received mail from the University about housing as well as private housing mail and an email. Can anyone shed some light on this for me as to whether most people would prefer private over the other or vice versa, or anything that I should know about housing.</p>
