Private Loan Help

Hey guys,

I'm just really confused on the process of taking out a private loan. On Student Loans - Private Student Loans, Federal Consolidation Programs, Stafford & PLUS, I entered in all the info I needed- the amount, the school, my zip code, private loan, have a co-signer, etc etc.

But the problem is, when I read the information of each loan, some of them say that they're going to disburse the loan money directly to the school. I don't want that because part of the loan is covering my tuition and the other part is for personal expenses.

Does this mean I apply for two separate loans? One loan covering the amount that will cover my tuition and the other to be mailed home? Or can I change that option and just have the disbursement sent to me?

Thanks. I really need to do this ASAP.

Loans are always disbursed to school. If part of loan is for living expenses, the bursar will disburse the excess funds to you after tution, fees are settled.
