Private Loans - Help!

<p>I'll be attending Dartmouth College next year as an international student. I didn't apply for financial aid when I applied to the school because Dartmouth doesn't offer a need-blind admissions policy for international students.</p>

<p>I'm wondering if anyone can recommend me private loaners: What's legit, what's a scam?</p>

<p>We're still waiting for our permanent residency visa so when we get that, we'll be able to apply for financial aid. Problem is, we don't know when the immigration offices will give it to us (all depends on luck).</p>

<p>Only privat loan I know of are the home equity loan!! Unliess YOU have soemthing different to offer.</p>

<p>Uh yeah practically every major bank, Sallie Mae, Peterson's, MyRichUncle, Key Loans, etc. Since you're international I don't know if you're able to get parent PLUS loans or other govt. sponsored loans with lower interest rates.</p>
