How well do you think I’ll do on the ssat? And my chances for these schools regarding the ssat? Thanks for taking the time to read!
Wow ur rly smart. Apparently your race matters a ton too, as there are many more say, Asian-American applicants than there are Latino applicants, but they still have to keep similar numbers of both, so therefore Latinos have a better chance of being accepted than Asian-Americans. I was also wondering if you are a boy or a girl, but the applicant numbers are relatively equal for both, so it doesn’t particularly matter. Regardless, though, I think you are in as I think your stellar grades in most all of your subjects make up for that English grade. I am no expert, but if you can do well on reading comp. and verbal on the SSAT, they won’t care all that much about your English grade. Also, how did you do on the interview? If you didn’t tell them all of your amazing extracurriculars, and your track record, they probably won’t think of you as highly. Also, if you were like me, and probably overprepared for the interview, they might stick it to you, as they don’t feel they got to know you. But also, don’t under prepare. I made that mistake too, and I totally blanked out and failed the entire interview (this was my first). I don’t even know if I’m going to apply there now. As people have said many times, do your lowest-preference school first. The first interview feels wicked weird, so just get it out of the way! After that, you will do a better job of managing yourself, and it will be better. Lastly, I am no expert, but these are just my opinions, much of which coming from reading tons of other CC articles. Hope this helps!
p.s. It’s cool to know someone else who is as obsessed with this process as I am!
Thanks a lot, we both just have to have confidence! By the way I am a boy, Indian-american. How about you? I already had my interview for brooks, and then Groton I had last week. I did really well, and told them everything that’s on this list. They also told me I’m the type of people they have at Groton, so coolio i guess
As has been said before, a major factor is whether you need financial aid.
I think you have a good chance for Brooks. However, the other schools might be tricky. If you can raise your English grade before you send your transcript that would increase your chances. The admissions office doesn’t like it when you have a plunge in your report card like that.
Thanks for the motivation! Go **** ur self
MODERATOR’S NOTE:
Closing thread. The OP apparently has decided through his/her abusive responses the College Confidential is not the place for him/her. I am happy to accomodate.
