Private schools would give me merit aid

I live in PA and am considering private schools in PA as well as surrounding states. I already applied to the public schools in PA that I had interest in and am now looking for private schools that would give me enough merit aid to where the net cost would be < 35k.
My intended major is Finance/ Accounting
SAT: 1330
GPA:3.8
Private schools I’ve already applied to are…
Xavier U
U of Dayton
U of Scranton
Saint Joseph’s University
Marquette
Fordham

Thanks!

Duquesne?

I got these off a list I have, so you would need to verify them.

Gwynedd Mercy University
La Salle University
Keystone
King’s College
Saint Vincent College
University of Valley Forge
Westminster College
York College of Pennsylvania

St. Lawrence

I like your list – a lot. Similar schools are Providence and Loyola MD, but I don’t think even their maximum merit offers are high enough to get you to $35K. Maybe Siena? Second the suggestion of Duquesne.

Of the schools in post #2, the only one that I think has a similar feel to Scranton, St. Joe’s and Xavier is LaSalle. Possibly York, but that’s not a Catholic college. The others are either fairly small (1-2,000) or feel that way because of a smaller residential population.

Average merit aid from Fordham, Marquette, or Dayton runs about $10K-$15K.
You’d need much more than that to get to your $35K target.
Are your stats enough above average for these schools to make a big enough merit award likely?

@tk21769 I know I most likely wouldn’t get enough merit from schools like Fordham and Marquette but they were free to applied to so I figured why not try.

I attend La Salle, I recommend it! It’s pretty similar to St Joe’s, but gives better aid.
