Proactive Solution

Any one have any success stories?

Ive been on it a little over a week and so far:

It seemed to clear up the first two days
A bunch of little zits showed up (Im assuming it was detoxing)
Some of the zits went away leaving a red mark and my old red marks are still showing, old red popped pimples are still showing but I think they are slightly clearing

Im still hoping for results (assuming it doesnt start to show until 2-3 weeks)

When I was in high school, I tried Proactiv and it worked great. 4-6 months later of mostly clear skin, I decided to stop re-upping my order(assuming my skin would just stay mostly clear). Soon after, however the acne returned. This isnt uncommon, I've been told.

I really just got tired of paying the $30-40 monthly fee for the packages....so i stopped. Thats my story.

Anyway, good luck on your skin, and I hope you find something that works for you.

It takes some time for it to start working. You won't automatically have clear skin a few weeks later. It will probably take longer than 3 weeks for complete results.

Just a few tips from experience: (1)Use face lotion besides the Proactive one. It tends to dry out most people's skin. It sucks when your face is all dry and flaky and it burns when anything touches it. Clearasil has some good ones. (2) Don't expect it to work forever. Usually after 4-8 months, it stops working. (3) That on the spot treatment is awesome. Clean & Clear has a similar one that works just as well and costs less. (4) That sulfur face mask stuff they send with your order stinks really bad. They also say you can leave in on a pimple overnight, but I don't recommend that. I did it once and it completely dried out that spot. It was red, irritated, and flakey. I could also smell the sulfur all day no matter how much I washed it.

Good luck!

My Dermatologist recommenced I not use any acne products or solutions.

he simply told me to rinse my acne areas once a day with Hibiclens Hibiclens & Hibistat

It worked great, no more acne.

Just keep using it and you will see results! I have been using proactiv for 3 months and I look great!

^I thought you had been using it for a little over a week?

I second OKGirl, *** NoworLater?

P.S. Accutane is the bomb

^but it's so risky to use.

I tried using Proactiv about two years ago, and found it to be complete crap. My acne wasn't that bad to begin with, but I just wanted to have completely clear skin, so I got the trial version of Proactiv. I stopped using it when my acne began to get worse after three weeks.
I now just use a Clerasil facial wash and Nivea lotion and only get occasional acne. Proactiv certainly does NOT work for everyone.

I used it for about two months and it didn't help at all. After a month, it started getting worse. So I went back to trying out EVERYTHING, and nothing ever worked for me.

And then I found Clean&Clear Persa Gel. It did wonders for me.
